Linux System Administrator

Your tasks

Planning, development, implementation and continuous development of concepts and procedures to ensure stable and secure IT operations

Operating and configuring our Linux-based production and test servers using Ansible, with and without Docker

Setup, optimization and monitoring of server services (Postgres, Ruby, JVM, Redis, HAProxy, Postfix, vsftp, Docker Container)

Responsibility for data backups and recovery capabilities

Depending on your skills, also support of our Windows workstations

Your profile

Degree in computer science, software engineering or similar

Alternatively, completed training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification with practical experience in cloud operations

You have solid Linux knowledge (preferably Debian/Ubuntu)

Good knowledge of common network technologies and services as well as knowledge of Ansible and Docker/docker-compose are ideal

You enjoy new challenges and show willingness to gather information and self-motivated further training

Thinking ahead, critical questioning as well as the introduction of alternative solution proposals is explicitly desired

You are a good communicator and have a high level of quality awareness

Analytical thinking and independent work are no problem for you

You have a good command of English, German is optional
